What is HydroxyClean?
HydroxyClean is a ready-to-use multi-purpose cleaner and degreaser made from just salt, water and electricity. It's an alkaline electrolyzed water, about pH 12, made on the same generators that make Danolyte Disinfectant. It breaks the bond between grease and the surface so grime lifts and wipes away, and it contains no fragrance, dyes, alcohol, phenols, phosphates or VOCs.

The heavy-duty stuff
It gets the grease, but it fills the kitchen with fumes and fragrance, and it leaves a film behind. A week later the dirt is back, sticking to whatever the cleaner left.
The "gentle" stuff
It smells nice and feels better to use. Then you're scrubbing the same baked-on spot for the third time, and reaching for the heavy-duty bottle anyway.

How is HydroxyClean made?
Our family has designed and built its own generators since 2015. Salt water runs through an electrolytic cell, and the cell makes two very different solutions at the same time.

Physics, not perfume
How does HydroxyClean cut grease?
Most cleaners rely on soaps and surfactants that grab the dirt, and some of that soap stays behind on the surface. That leftover film is sticky. It catches dust, pet hair and new grime, so the spot you just cleaned gets dirty faster.
HydroxyClean works differently. Its electrically activated, alkaline water breaks the bond between grease and the surface, then lifts and holds the grime so it wipes or rinses away. It emulsifies fats and oils, which is why it handles grease and baked-on carbon that ordinary sprays smear around.
When you're done, there's no soap film left to attract new dirt, and no fragrance hanging in the air.

How do I use HydroxyClean?
Ready to use, straight from the bottle. No mixing and no measuring.

Spray
Spray 6 to 8 inches from the surface until it's evenly covered.

Let it work
Give tough grease and baked-on messes 2 to 5 minutes to break down.

Wipe or scrub
Wipe with a microfiber cloth, or scrub with a brush or sponge. Rinse food-prep surfaces with clean water.
Deep cleaning: for laundry, the dishwasher or a carpet cleaner, add about 8 oz of HydroxyClean along with your usual detergent.

Clean with HydroxyClean. Then disinfect with Danolyte.
Cleaning and disinfecting are two different jobs. HydroxyClean lifts the grease and grime. Danolyte Disinfectant, made on the other side of the same generator, kills the germs listed on its EPA label on hard, non-porous surfaces.
The Danolyte label calls for pre-cleaning heavily soiled surfaces before you disinfect. HydroxyClean is made for exactly that step.

Good to know
- Test first. Try a small, hidden spot on fabric, wood, natural stone and delicate finishes.
- Wipe it off metal. Don't leave HydroxyClean sitting on metal surfaces; wipe and rinse when you're done.
- Keep it out of your eyes. If it gets in them, rinse with plenty of water. Wear safety glasses for big jobs, and gloves if your skin is sensitive.
- Store it right. Keep the cap closed, out of direct sunlight, in a cool place, and use it within 12 months.

What is HydroxyClean made of?
Water, salt and electricity. HydroxyClean is made by running salt water through the electrolytic cell of our own generators. The finished cleaner is about 99.75% water and 0.2% salt, with a trace of sodium hydroxide (under 500 ppm) created by the electricity. It has no added fragrance, dyes, alcohol, phenols, phosphates or VOCs.
Is HydroxyClean the same as Danolyte Disinfectant?
No. They're made on the same generators, but they're different products for different jobs. HydroxyClean is an alkaline cleaner and degreaser, about pH 12. Danolyte Disinfectant is hypochlorous acid at pH 6.5, an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant. Clean with HydroxyClean, then disinfect with Danolyte.
Does HydroxyClean disinfect?
No. HydroxyClean is a cleaner and degreaser. To disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces, use Danolyte Disinfectant, EPA Reg. No. 91582-1, after cleaning.
What can HydroxyClean clean?
Grease, grime, soap scum, food residue, dirt and baked-on carbon on stovetops, range hoods, grills, floors, tile, bathrooms, carpet and upholstery spots, garage floors and vehicle interiors. Add about 8 oz to laundry, the dishwasher or a carpet cleaner for a deeper clean.
Do I need to dilute HydroxyClean?
No. It's ready to use straight from the bottle. Spray it 6 to 8 inches from the surface, give tough grease 2 to 5 minutes, then wipe or scrub.
Does HydroxyClean leave a residue?
No sticky film. HydroxyClean has no soaps or surfactants added, so it doesn't leave the tacky residue that attracts new dust and dirt. Rinse food-prep surfaces with clean water after cleaning.
